Game changer
Her infectious 'can do' mentality, very diverse network, and in-depth expertise in food make Let us an internationally renowned game changer.
Systemic thinking and a healthy dose of pragmatism are embedded, as well as the ability to speak the language of each stakeholder. As such, bridges are built across sectors and new horizons open up instantly.
20 years expertise
As Sustainability Manager at the food retailer Delhaize, Katrien Verbeke built the sustainability strategy from scratch and worked, amongst others, with WWF on a sustainable fisheries policy. For the city of Ghent, she developed the award-winning food strategy Gent en Garde.

With Let us, Katrien continues her mission.
The social enterprise is working throughout Europe on strong food policies, setting up structural collaborations around food loss and short supply chains, and creating product innovations with vulnerable groups.
With her passion for using food and health to make the world a better place, Joanna Klosowska works in perfect tandem with Katrien. Joanna's professional track record in R&D, regulatory affairs and scientific research, gained at various international organisations, provides a testimony of her versatile expertise and network, with which she currently reinforces Let us.
Katrien has been working many years directly for me. She has a permanent 'can do' attitude. She is able to challenge the status quo in sustainability, to prepare a plan and to execute it. She was a pioneer in sustainability, she is an expert in food. It was a pleasure and a real honour to work with her.
